Materials:

Students need to bring a pencil and a calculator. Each student will receive a syllabus and all the materials needed for this class. Students do not need to buy folders, paper, binders, or books for this class. We hand out all materials on the first day of class.

What if I miss class?

This is a single-session class limited to a maximum of 20 students. No refunds will be provided to students who miss class for any reason.

Student Responsibility:

Since this is a college prep course, we ask that students take responsibility for their work and their behavior in class. We want them to gain as much as possible from the class and, based on experience, know that what they put into the class, they will get out of it. Statistics are in their favor. Students who take the SAT or ACT more than once and/or take a preparation class to get them more acquainted with the exam and its contents, do better on the exam than students who go into it without extra preparation. Students who have taken our course over the last 3 years have consistently done better than their classmates who have not taken a prep course. Since this class is voluntary and the work that we hand to students is an option, they will have to decide how much effort they dedicate to our course. However, we do have the expectation that students will respect the learning of their classmates and therefore, we reserve the right to ask anyone to leave the class, without compensation, who may be detracting from the learning of others.

Over the years we have had many students and parents thanking us for the positive and beneficial learning experience and we are looking forward to another successful class for everyone.

We are always available for our students on the phone, over email, or before and after class. We also welcome their questions in class. The more they participate, the better we understand what their obstacles are, and the better we can prepare them for the exam.

Bad Weather:

We do not shut our doors due to bad weather. If there is a weather emergency of some kind, we will contact you via phone and email to let you know how we are going to handle the situation.
